「最初の人工知能の塗り絵の本」
"The First Artificial Intelligence Coloring Book"
ハロルド＆ベッキー・コーエンのアーロンによる塗り絵の本。
ボストンのコンピュータ・ミュージアムで買った。
そこでアーロンのドローイングを２枚買った。一枚50ドルだった。
Coloring book by Aaron.
I got this book at the Computer Museum, Boston.
I also got 2 drawings by Aaron there.
They were $50 each then.

最初に見つけたハロルド・コーエンの本。
テート・ギャラリーのカタログ。
池袋西武のART VIVANTで買った記憶がある。
This is the first Harold Cohen's book I found.
A booklet of Exhibition at the Tate Gallery, London.
I bought this one at the Art Book Store "ART VIVANT" in Ikebukuro Seibu.

出力してみたら。OUTPUT BY INKJET PRINTER.

ピカソ・グラフィックステーションで、試しの出力をしてもらった。
暗いところに微妙にインクの薄い線状の部分がでてしまう。
原因が特定できなかった。
I send a data to Picasso Graphic Station(Hiroshima City).
They opened my pdf file and print some large pictures.
Some pale parts appeared randomly.
We could'nt find out why.

「コンピュータと美学」
1984年の本だった。山口市の古書店のシールがあった。
いったい、いつ山口市に行って買ったのか。
ともかく、今ごろ、読む。
"Computer and Aethetics" was published in 1984.
I bought this book some years ago at a secondhand bookstore in Yamaguchi City.
I don't remember when.
but somehow, I am reading this book now.

フランクフルト。Frankfurt.

アメリカのAMAZONに注文した本が届いた。
なぜかフランクフルトからだった。
宛先のJAPANがJORDANになっていた。
なぜか、それでもちゃんと届いたのだった。
I received some books from AMAZON.com USA.
Those books were sent from Frankfurt Germany.
Name of the country of my address "JAPAN" turned to "JORDAN".
Somehow the baggage arrived correctly.

虹。Rainbow!

ちょっとした雲の隙間の太陽で、低い位置にきれいな虹がでた。
Beatiful rainbow in the afternoon.

NEC PC 8001. Old personal computer in the beginning.

NECのPC8001をしばらく使っていた。
もう20数年前のことになる。BASICでプログラムを書いてローランドのプロッターで23cm×23cmの絵を１枚出力するのに８時間くらいかかっていた。緑色のモニターで、記憶装置はカセットテープだった。
まだ動くはずである。
I used a PC8001 computer of NEC from 1984, wrote programs in BASIC, and made pictures by Roland XY-Plotter.
It had take 8 hours to draw a picture of 23cm square.
Used a Green monitor and a cassettape recorder.

子どもがつくった四角錐と三角錐による変形星型14面体。
自主制作の作品として小学校に持っていくらしい。

植物のつるが伸びて巻くような形に。

今夜の月は明るくて、はっきりと影が落ちる。

何をどうやっているかというと。

何をどうやっているかというと、まずOS Xのtext editでPostScriptのプログラムを書いて、Virtual PC上のWindows 2000にあるGSviewで画像として表示したものをConvertでPDFに変換し、OS Xに戻したものをAdobeのAcrobat 8で表示し、プリントアウトするのである。
もう少し何とかならないものか、と思うが、今のシステムではこれしかないのである。
